Nuremberg

After München we drove on to Nürnberg where we stayed for the night. The next day we explored the Old City and the castle.

 

Naturally, my favourite bit was the castle gardens.

After exploring the castle and gardens we headed over to the Palace of Justice, where the historic Nuremberg trials were held after WWII. It was a sobering experience, but after months of dissertation research on genocide justice and memorialisation, I found it particularly fascinating.
